What:
During the month of July, some of the iSoc students are working on a platform to make access to open data easier. This platform is a generic API (webservice) which on the one hand allows developers to easily write an application without having to code the "layer" in between the open data and the app. On the other hand, data owners can release data using a few lines of code, without relinquishing the data quality. BI-tools, statistics, possibilities to outsource modules and extensive error handling are available.
In the first hour of the workshop, we introduce The DataTank: what can it do, what should it become, what can a company, institution or government do with it, ... The introduction ends with a short demo. In the second part of the workshop, you can build your first module and get a web service up and running in no time.
